Title chance for Schaeffler and Porsche in China
For Schaeffler and partner Porsche, a dream can come true in China: At the eighth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) on November 6 in Shanghai, Porsche can win the manufacturers¡¯ title early.
A The Porsche 919 Hybrid has won five out of seven rounds of the 2016 FIA WEC ¨C clear dominance. The greatest glory for these performances can come true in China: Porsche travels to Shanghai with a 59-point advantage in the manufacturers¡¯ rankings. If the brand leaves with at least a 44 difference then the manufacturers¡¯ world championship title will be heading to Stuttgart for a second time in a row. Meanwhile, Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb lead in the drivers¡¯ standings. They have already won two races this season, including the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Their advantage stands at 23 points.
